11 unflinching souls for this week’s edition of P2W. Here’s how we rolled:
Quick mosey to the Muthaship, stop once for merkins (20), then again (18) at the base
Partner 1 up spiral, Partner 2 up steps, 20 fistbump merkins at top, back down; flapjack
AYG to top, derkins (15), flutter (20), dolly (20)
Partner wheelbarrow to end of deck, mosey back, repeato; back to bottom
Run the ramps, backwards on straightaways, 10 HR merkins every other floor
Quick mosey back to Dowd Y
Yes, it rained heavy on us. But weather’s like that. Curly gathered us under the #GivingTree, and we were off. Great group, everybody pushing pretty hard. Thankfully no spills along the way there and back, but may have some recollection of trouble for Gandalf in the stairwell (??). The fast guys were fast and earned their swagger. Yes, even the Champ. Great to have App State’s El Duque back with us after a very impressive 3:05 Chicago marathon, and I’m still holding out hope another Chicago runner will rejoin us soon. There were 11 this morning. For all you punks that thought about posting but opted out, you were the reason Frodo was solo on the partner work. Thanks for that. Perhaps a few of us have lost a step or two – well maybe except CRocket who claims to be even faster at 50 than at 40 – but it’s still pretty doggone fun to test your mettle on a daily basis. Thankfully P2W provides that, so let’s continue to get after it and be grateful for every day that we can. Thanks, Gandalf, for the opportunity to lead this crew. It’s an honor. Until next week….
– Please keep The Shore and his family in your prayers. And let’s continue to lift up Hollins who unexpectedly lost his only brother last week to cardiac arrest. Both tragedies have made me pause over the past couple of days.
