Saturday… November 11th 2017… Veterans Day… IS THE DAY! and fingers crossed it’s going to be an amazing one at that for F3 Nation and SPEED FOR NEED. Countless hours have been put into planning this by so many PAX (will do shout outs in BB) to honor our Veterans on their day, and make this a special day for the kids… all 20 of them! Keeping this short, so that you’ll actually read it.
Here are the FINAL KEY details for Saturday, if you are coming out to spectate, or run with us!
0615-0630: Setup SFN Tent in Romare Bearden Park and roll out racing chairs
0630 – 0700: PAX pick up bibs and SFN shirts (if you asked for one ahead of race day)
0650: Track Commanders and late PAX arrive at event. Meet & Greet and get ready to race
0700: SFN Team Group Picture
0710: Head to front of starting line of marathon
0720: F3 Nation Ruckers start marathon
0725: (4) SPEED FOR NEED racing chairs start marathon (2 minute headstart)
EST START EXCH ZONE LEG & DRIVER LOCATION
0725 START #1 – Gnarly Goat Starting Line
0800 EZ1 #2 – SS Minnow Christ Episcopal Church
0855 EZ2 #3 – Deertick Euclid Ave / Butternut Ct Intersection
0945 EZ3 #4 – Moonshine & Apache Bethel Worship Center
1030 EZ4 #5 – Dredd Hawthorne High School
1120: Meet at corner of S. Mint / Stonewall for all F3 to run Veterans Chariot into finish line
1125: Estimated Finish time. Followed by BOM and F3 Team pictures
1130 – TBD: Congregate at SFN tent in Romare Bearden for 2nd F as desired
- Please help out parents of special kids and riders at each exchange zone to make sure cared for before moving along.
- Bring shovel flags to run with. We will also have military service flags for PAX to carry.
- Wear your F3 shirt to the event, our involvement is being covered by several media outlets, so lets promote F3 Nation and SFN as best we can to the community.
