Labor Pains at PWW

Here’s a WAY backblast…The week got away from me as we literally expected my wife to go into labor at any minute.  Had my phone with me, AC style, just in case.  Switched Qs with Foul Ball on Wednesday to get my scheduled Q done earlier (and so that FB could enjoy making his wife pancakes in bed for their anniversary, something about she likes him to wear the whipped cream bikini).  I digress.  Strong crew out there, Dredd said we covered 4.5 miles and it included all the favorite decks of Uptown, some backwards running up them, Merkins, dollies, flutters, Peter Parkers, more Merkins and a few dips, and some squats…I was out of breath if the PAX wasn’t.  Thanks to Black Bear for finding us in the parking lot for the very end and taking us out with an inspiring prayer.

I opted out of Ranger on Wednesday (11/8/17) morning to stay closer to home though I wasn’t all that close when I got the call.  I was about 2.5 miles from home when I got the call that I needed to return home, right as I was crossing Providence, heading down Beverly toward Hampton Ave.  To me, a sign from above that our “surprise” was going to be a boy.  Because Hampton was the name we were considering if we had a boy.  When I got home I told my wife we were having a boy and at 1:26pm (this 8 hr labor was 2 hrs longer than our first two combined; the speed of the first two being why we were on such high alert), Hampton Charles Jetton joined us at 8lbs 11oz.  Mom and baby are doing great.

And that is why it took a week to write a backblast.  See y’all in the gloom…once we figure out this three kid thing.

Mugsy, congrats! Hampton is my middle name as well as my Dad’s. Honored you decided to name him after me 🙂
