MuthaGruntcliff: Absence did not make the heart grow fonder

At about 4:45 on Wednesday morning, YHC noticed a midnight text from Mr. D looking for a substi-Q for Governator.  With little time to plan, the answer was clear: time for a much overdue visit to see our Mutha (Gruntcliff, that is).  So that’s just what 15 pax did.

The Thang:

– Mosey to the bottom of Broadhollow for COP #whispercadence

SSH, IW, Merkins, some Mary

– Mosey up Kimblewyck and right to the bottom of MuthaGruntcliff herself for the main event:

5 trips with 20x Merkins, Squats, Mountain Climbers, Plankjacks, and LBCs at the top and increasing count hand-release burpees at the bottom (1 – 5)

– Regroup with some Hamlet-led Mary, then mosey back toward home base with a stop for some more Mary

– Mosey to the wall at Church at Charlotte for people’s chair with 20x air presses IC while Kirk leads a small group of refuseniks who didn’t enjoy the light rain that had started to fall

– Mosey to the breezeway for dips and derkins IC x20 and x10, respectively

– Take it to the bottom of the lot for one AYG sprint back to the breezeway

– More dips and derkins IC

– Back to the ranch with just enough time for 10x burpees oyo

– COT with solid take-out from One Eye, who was effusive in his praise for “Silent Blob’s” leadership

Naked Man Moleskine:

– Good bunch of dudes out there, including a nice mix of regulars, frequent visitors, and some guys not seen at the G Spot in quite some time

– Pax knew pretty quickly where we were headed once we made the left off of Camilla into Thornridge.  YHC would apologize for subjecting the Pax to the Mutha, but the suck was a good one

– Doh and Chalet were flying out front all morning.  Kirk and Eye Chart weren’t far behind

– Run Jen Run is on Saturday 3/3 and will be the first Speed for Need event of the Spring.  Details can be found here:

– Preview day for the Get Outside Mountain Relay on Saturday 3/17.  The GOMR is the next big CSAUP for F3 Nation.  Details here:

Thanks for the opportunity to lead.

God bless,
