21 Pax posted for a cool morning workout. Here’s how it all went down.

Run up Floral to East stopping at each LIGHT or CROSSWALK for 8 merkins, 8 squats and 8 lunges. Mary at top.

Partner up. Partner 1 runs down Scott. Partner 2 runs down Kenilworth. Meet on the sidestreets and do 15 partner hand slap merkins. Stop at Romany and Mary.
Run down Romany to the cross section of Dilworth Rd. East and West.
Side thought: How can East and West intersect?
Run up Romany to Carlton, stopping at each LIGHT for 3 burpees each.
Back down to the intersection of East and West.
Up Dilworth Rd. West. Same partners – Partner 1 runs backward toward East Blvd. Partner 2 does 4 burpees and chases. Mary at East.
Continue down Dilworth Rd. West. Wave at Subway’s old house.
From Magnolia to Ideal Way 4 merkins, 4 squats, 4 lunges at each LIGHT. Same thing from Ideal Way to Park Road.
Run down Ideal Way. Left on Mcdonald. Back down McDonald with 10 jumping lunges at each LIGHT.
AYG back down McDonald to the bottom of THE HILL.
AYG up the hill.
It was a perfect temperature for a workout this morning, about 45 degrees. Vamos won’t attend any F3 event unless it’s 40 or above, and even then he has to wear his hoodie for the first 30 seconds. Speaking of which, Vamos did eventually find his hoodie along McDonald. It wasn’t too hard to find since it’s a XXXXL and has a GPS attachment, although it was laying under a few disregarded Limebikes.
Dimples visited from Knoxville. As a Volunteer, I welcome anyone from UT – Go Vols, #VFL, #BGO,
#BrickByBrick. Turns out Dimples knows one of my good friends in Knoxville who is big into F3. Dimples was most surprised that we actually ran more than 100 yards at a time. It’s a well-known fact that anyone residing in East Tennessee can’t run well until they move elsewhere #AlvinKamara (Look him up)
Thin Slice advertised the workout on Twitter as “Come for the beard, stay for the beard oil.” You came for the beard and were disappointed, but you didn’t have anything else going on at 5:30am so you stayed. He asked me to Q Sparta while we were both running at Caffeine this past Sunday. I had a large unkempt beard when he saw me that I trimmed about an hour later. The beard wasn’t as advertised, but you get what you pay for. If you didn’t pay Thin Slice the $10 drop in fee, you worked out for free and shouldn’t complain.
I wanted to take a tour off campus this morning. I’ve always been a NoDil guy, until my landlord decided to move into the bachelor pad on Carlton Avenue. Then I was forced to move to SoDil into Salem Village. If East Boulevard were the Mason Dixon Line, I would prefer to be on the Northside. I like to think of myself in the likes of Doc(k) and Assless Chaps, only younger, poorer, and with more hair. Pate, Doobie, and Co., are alright, but NoDil has Bakersfield and the best margaritas. You might find me there tonight.
Baywatch asked if this was my VQ. I don’t know if he asked because he was surprised or disappointed. Hopefully has legs will be looking like Hasselhoff’s after today’s workout. It was NOT my VQ. Thanks Baywatch.
Lee and Curly up front as usual.
Stormy was not present. After Hope Hicks resigned, Donald Trump has been forced to turn to ex-lovers to fill his cabinet. Stormy was preparing for Trump’s visit to Charlotte today hoping he might have an interview to fill the position of Chief Publicist. Good luck!
I missed one PAX in the backblast. My third grade teacher told me I needed to work on my listening skills which obviously still needs work. 20/21 is an A in my book although it may be a Q Fail.
Some of you may not know this, but many of you do. My dad passed away in September 2017. You probably didn’t see much of me between September and January. My girlfriend and I, who had been dating for a year and a half, broke up at the end of January because we didn’t see marriage in our future. These past five months have been the darkest times of my life after losing two of the most important people in my life. I gained about twenty pounds and stopped working out.
I’ve finally gotten back into a workout rhythm the past month and I’ve lost about half the weight I gained. My body feels the best it has in months.
I say this not so that you’ll feel sorry me, but to say thank you and to encourage you. The F3 community, and especially my community at Uptown Church, has been amazing. Simba, Dover, and many others have always been there for me when I’ve needed it the most. I can feel God’s presence as Comforter. I can’t thank everyone enough for their prayers and support. I would appreciate more prayers and support as I go through the difficult process of mourning my father’s death and the loss of a relationship that was important to me.
Know this – the friends I have at F3 and church are great. F3 provides a steadiness for all of us through the ups and downs of life. I hope that if you are grieving now or when you grieve in the future, that you’ll lean on community. Don’t run away from community and fellowship, embrace it. Know this from Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge our strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Thanks for the keys, Thin Slice.
