One of the things that F3 has helped me to change is in my planning. I used to think that I did my best when I didn’t plan and procrastinated. As if the sudden pressure to get done on time brought out the best in me. F3 led me to change this, and in drastic fashion. I always have a plan, a playlist, and a purpose. I often sleep in my workout clothes, and always have the coffee pot on a timer that greets me with the aroma of Folgers ( #NotASnob) before the alarm goes off. I even park my car going the right direction. It was in this fashion that I greeted yesterday, and left for the AO at 640 when it was only 10 minutes away.
Turning off of 77 onto Barrniger, I am .05 miles away. And the road is closed. The GPS is trying to take me around the closure via Gastonia. Well, maybe not gastonia, but definitely not in a manner that will allow me to arrive on time. And so, I relied on my training– and by training, I mean that i have watched all of the movies in the Jason Bourne series so many times that I think I can do anything anywhere anytime. Like get to the park by 6:59.
Thank God for Treadstone.
COP: The Standard. Because my training tells me that 20 SSH, 20 IW, 10 Sharon Towers and 10 Merkins in cadence are the perfect means to start a beatdown.
Mosey to the phenomenal turf of Revolution park for partner assisted suicides using the BLIMPS method. Partner 1 runs to the 10 ,20,30,40,50,then the other 40 and returns while partner 2 does Burpees, Lunges, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Plank jacks, and Squats. Grapevine claims this is called the Dr. Kevorkian and that I owe Starfish a royalty. Royalty Shmoyalty. Sue me and see if i care.
Upon completion, plank.
Mosey to the bleachers for 11’s doing foot hook situps and LBC’s. This was done due to a snapchat post from Curlee showing the difficulty in assembling his new swimsuit from Ikea ( Tab a wouldn’t fit in Slot B, if you know what I mean).
Mosey–and by mosey I mean walk 10 feet– to the base of the hill behind the bleachers for a round of Modiefied Thor. 1 burpee at the bottom, 4 maktar Jye at the top. Keep that ratio till you have done 5 burpees then come back down. Good Golly Miss Molly that was a lot of Maktar Jye.
Mosey to the stone wall for Aiken legs aka aching legs. 20 jump ups, 20 squats, 20 bulgarian squats. 3 times. mary while you wait on the 6.
Mosey to the playground for more partner work, this time pull ups while your partner runs. 3 rounds
Mosey to the field for more partner assisted suicides, this time just Mary stuff. Same distance, but just called Mary.
NMM: This is an awesome AO. I know we are trying to draw a local crowd which isn’t happening yet, but we need to stay here just for the awesome A.O.
Random notes: First time I met This Slice. I was disappointing. Dredd always makes him sound like such a big deal in his BB’s but quite frankly, he was disappointing. I hadn’t seen Snowden in a long time– i think i named him but I have named so many I can’t remember them all. He did not disappoint me. He went to Duke, and Duke never disappoints.
Lynchpin wore no Virginia apparfel . First time ever. This might be clinical and require meds.
RopeAdope did not opp himself, and we need to get him a certificate. Grapevine ran his yapper non stop, which is to be expected. Mr. Mustard is a friend of Kenny Loggins, which is super cool. D.A. called me stupid. SOuth Beach said i was weak. Ya gotta love Silver Bullet. Pipeline is moving the ENTIRE men’s shelter to his backyard. Feel Good wore a parka. GAAP was almost late but it wasn’t his fault– Terry Gross was in the middle of a really good interview and he needed to hear the end.
Yorkie is the nephew of Feel Good and plays football for the Butler Bulldogs. He is a Defensive Tackle and a solid hunk of muscle. Hence, Yorkie. Makes me giggle.
Announcements: Curlee needs help feeding a group of folks on 4.20. Pipeline needs help for the BBAll tourney on 4.21. Feel Good needs help with mentors at the harvest center. dm me for details and I will hook you up.
