There’s been a shortage of wall and fence scaling at Sparta recently. And too many track workouts. Not criticizing, Thin Slice, but it’s your fault and it blows. Put that in your meatballs. The wall is a Sparta Staple. Even Santa Maria knows that. (For those of you who don’t know Santa Maria, he used to work out with us for 10 minutes, then go find a port-o-potty, and show back up at COT. His absence from Sparta may have something to do with the removal of the johnny on the spot, which may return in time for spring baseball season. Maria, we’ll keep you posted if the appropriate green room accommodations are made so you can grace us with your presence again).
So we took it back to a classic this morning. I don’t know if it’s Kosher to steal another man’s workout, but there it was.
Strong work by Slice, Uncle Rico, Doobie, Mr. Bo, and Tilda on 6 rounds. Everyone else got 5 in, which is no joke. I got to hang out with Mariah, who may be going through a tiny bit of “last supper” mental aerobics on the eve of his move southward. 30 minutes in, I hear him say “How F#%*ing cool is this? Who gets to do this?” That’s right brother. It doesn’t get better than this. Speaking of which, Mr. Bo announces in COT that at his recent 2 year checkup, he’s been given a clear bill of health, which means a 1% chance of recurrence. Bo, seeing you come to this same workout 3 years ago in the middle of chemo was one of the most badass things I’ve ever witnessed. We all want to be at the front of the pack, every day. I see more battles being won in the back 1/3.
