Perfect 56 degree temperature at 7am tomorrow morning? Check.
Humidity in the 70% range? You got it.
18% cloud cover? Blue skies smilin’ at me!
Now, I am no meteorologist – despite multiple claims to the contrary in previous iterations of this email – but I am smart enough to know that tomorrow is going to be about as close to perfect as you get from a Spring weather perspective. Throw in some solid rain over the past few days to wash away some of the pollen, and you’ve got A+ conditions for an awesome workout.
As if that weren’t enough to get you out of the fart sack on a Saturday morning, Stye (that’s Doctor Stye to you, son!) has the Q. Just in case the workout is so intense that you develop esotropia (“cross eyed” to you non-ENT’s out there), no worries. He’s a licensed ophthalmologist, one whack on the back of your head and you will be back to normal in no time.
Seriously, I looked at Stye’s professional website and understood approximately 10 words on the whole page. Strabismus? Inferior rectus recession? Pyrimidine Ring-Formation in Monocyclic HCN-Pentamers? I have absolutely no clue what any of that means, but if Stye, MD is smart enough to discuss these topics intelligently then he is smarter than YHC (not saying much….) and certainly smart enough to cook up a killer workout.
We will meet in the parking lot of Midwood Park at 7am and the workout will run until 7:45.
If you’ve never joined us for a workout in Midwood, come out! If you haven’t been in a while, come back! And, if you are one of our regulars, you rock, see you tomorrow!
Missing De is leading the 6@6 pre-run (6 miles at 6am) if you feel like going full beast-mode. Meet at 6:00 in the parking lot. He picks great routes, so if you have been on the fence about the run then tomorrow is the day to say yes!
Look forward to seeing you in the morning.
