The Legend of Billy Jack

posted by Pipeline on behalf of FOTL:
5:45am Tuesday.  Rise and shine, beautiful spring morning in C-town.  Suns (almost) up…… Birds a singing, owl’s a hooting.  7 regulars and 2 shelter guests, and 1 shelter vista volunteer.  Pretty quiet Pax for the most part this morning, they were easy on the “ Q”.   It was nice to have a few new faces in the crowd.  Ya’ll come back anytime, ye hear??
OK so on with what we did:
Circled up:
20 – SSH
20- Imperial Walkers
2 min – Jump rope – (without a rope)
3 sets of: thigh pulls
5 Burpees
Jogged about a mile to the parking deck: – Over a beautiful view of the city and 1-277, the I-277 part may sound odd but it is really a cool spot to check out sometime.
Upon arrival at the parking deck we:
Jacobs ladder:
9 – Burpees  at the bottom – 1 Plank jack at the top of the ramp.
8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 ….. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and so forth and so on.
So…..  I really didn’t know how many levels the parking deck was but just couldn’t resist going to the top for a sunrise and skyline view.  So…. off we went to the top!,  during this portion of the workout I practiced my  “leading from behind”  skills.  Happy to report they are fully in tact.  Dang parking deck was higher than I thought L.  We all made it.  Enjoyed a outstanding view of the City and (almost) Sunrise we did a set of abs and headed back to the base camp via the stairs (had enough of the ramps).
Back at the school we did a quick set of air presses and called COT.
Thanks for letting me Captain the ship it was a real treat.

So Billy Jack is an interesting Cat. Two ridiculously-fast sprints, book-ending a whole lot of walking. I guess it’s not how you start; it’s how you start and finish. After receiving his name, he shared on the way home that he’d like to take-on a rattle snake. I believe he is referring to this cinematic gem…
