To (mis)quote one of my favorite Rolling Stones songs, “summer’s here and the time is right for fighting merkins in the streets, boy!”
So come out tomorrow to get a workout in with the cream of the Midwood crop (YHC is down range, so this statement is more accurate than usual…). Rube has the Q this week, and if you’ve ever had the pleasure of being at one of his workouts you know Rube puts the “fight” in Street Fighting Man.
He also always lets me know right when my phone is about to fall out of my pocket and get stepped on during side straddle hops, and he is usually up for coffeeteria after a workout #2F. Rube is as good as they come, and he epitomizes what we stand for in F3 – so come out, support the local Q, and get your workout in for the day all at once.
As if a Rube Q weren’t enough, Mr. Bo is leading the 6@6 pre-run (6 miles at 6am leaving from Midwood Park parking lot). Midwood’s cup runneth over – this one-two punch might literally cause the park to explode tomorrow (ok, not literally, but it’s still an awesome combo).
Come at 6 for the run or come at 7 for the workout or, heck, double down and do both! If I can do it, you can do it.
