My first post was at Sparta around 4 years ago. It was a FaSoLa-led beatdown where I was originally named “Match” for reasons long forgotten. At around 9am an email went around, where FSL pulled executive/Q privilege and renamed me Mariah. There you have it. As far as I know, FSL was never seen again. As a Sparta regular since that day, for me there is nothing more Spartan than the periodic and often ceremonial running of the Mr. Bo. So today we ran it. Most of us got in 6 laps, and those who even remotely followed instructions got in a solid full-body workout. Snoop showed up to Sparta for the first time and with a shovel flag. So, I guess we were official today.
23 pax pushed themselves all morning, with Lee, Mr Bo and Curly presumably out-front the whole time…YHC was squarely in the middle of the pack today, so really don’t know. Strong work by Doobie, Redd Foxx (who’s Apple Watch played a well-curated sound-track of Mariah Carey, RHCP and Snoop Dogg(??) for our pleasure), Belair, Pate, and Teaser.
That will be my last Q and post in F3 Metro for a while, so appreciate the show of support all week and this morning. As YHC closes out my time in Charlotte, I know I’ll never have a group of brothers like you again, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it so Thank You. See ya’ll when I’m back in town and post, which will hopefully be often.
Thanks Double-Nickels for the take-out and kind words, and to Sparta management for the keys.
