Color Commentary:

Took advantage of the rain coming later today and made ourselves at home on the kids’ soccer fields.  Goal was to alternate between some KB work and some sprints.  Basic Combine stuff.  Thankfully we had an Army vet in the house teaching the finer points of Q’ing.  Throughout.  I mean he didn’t shut up.  Fort Benning.  Overall, had a largely compliant group, handful of guys taking a play or two off, inexplicably dropping the bell.  Lots of chatter from some chatterers, mostly conspiracy theory, paranoia about Coach K and Zion outfoxing media and UNC.  Whatevs, Nike and Roy sleep well at night.  I kinda don’t really care, but Nantan says we should so we’re relatable.  Not sure that’s gonna do it for some.  Anyway, sans Gitmo, not too much chatter today from the guys up front.  Gitmo was consistently fast.  Alibi, Voorhees, and Want Ad could be fast, Sauerkraut was especially fast.  He crushed the field on the final fence and back, reminded me of FW pulling away from batflippers in a past era.  Anyway, Kraut and the Weasel Shaker have upped their game over past several months.  Got my attention to be sure, we’re sitting up straight now.  Gitmo joked post-COT about mocking Hill.  Not sure Hill wanted to be there, even with the mittens.  Foreclosure definitely didn’t (nary a complaint, mind you).  Topham gave me the stink eye multiple times, Fett didn’t give a rats @ss, as usual.  And Scout did every rep and sprinted every sprint.  All the way through the line.  The work got done in time.  But the rain was gonna come, oh it surely looked like rain.

Announcements:

Sunday’s QSource topic is Jester.  Everyman’s got at least one.  Mine’s been anger since my youth.  Sign of straying, usually.  Orlando has the lead, and Backup will be there in the shadows, all quiet like the man with no eyes.  Cotswold Brueggers, 0815-0845, after SundaySe7en and Caffeine runs.
