I Introduce to you, the Metro FNG / Kotter Challenge.
What:
· Competition to see which member of the Pax and which AO can bring in the most FNGs and Kotters
When:
· March 9th – June 1st 2024
How:
· Bring an FNG or a Kotter out to a workout
· Have the Site Q (i) update google doc to record responsible pax and FNG/Kotter or (ii) if you’re too lazy to update the google doc, email or text me and I’ll do it
· SiteQ gives both the responsible Pax and FNG/Kotter their own custom one of a kind wooden nickel stamped with a custom Sheep logo
Why:
· We are all proof that F3 works and it has worked for us. We all have friends and brothers that we would not otherwise have without F3. It’s easy to get complacent and fall into cliques with the pax at our standard AOs. And there’s nothing wrong with that – the routines help to create stronger bonds. But at the same time, we need to make sure we’re continuing to bring others into our circle and to give the F3 gift to other sad clowns.
Q & A :
1. Q: What do we do with a wooden Sheep nickle?
A: You can (i) keep it forever and pass it to your descendants, (ii) use it as a fire starter or, (iii) bring it with you to any Thirsty Third Thursday for a free beer
2. Q: Sheep – what is Thirsty Third Thursday?
A: TTT, as the name implies, occurs every 3rd Thursday of the month at Ed’s tavern on Park Rd in Dilworth at ~5:30. All are welcome.
3. Q: Sheep – I live between Carmel Commons and Cotswold, is there a happy hour closer to me?
A: Maybe. Probably. Stay tuned.
4. Q: Sheep – could we start another similar standing monthly happy hour somewhere closer to Cotswold / Southpark?
A: Great question. Thanks for volunteering. Let us know when it is. Unfortunately, I will not be there as my e-scooter has a 15-mile range and I need GPS for anything south of park road shopping center.
5. Q: How do I get these wooden nickels to hand out to Pax / FNGs / Kotters at my AO?
A: (1) Shoot me a note ([email protected]) and let me know if you want your AO to participate. (2) Swing by Casa de Sheep (1700 Dilworth Road West, 28203) at some point beginning on Sunday to grab a back of nickels off my porch (will be in bags with AO labeled – will leave them out until they are gone).
6. Q: How are we defining a Kotter?
A: So many questions… you’re like my toddler. Use your judgement. Don’t abuse it. Kotter = Kotter for all F3 workouts, not for just a specific AO.
8. Q: What do we get for winning?
A: Both (i) the Pax that headlocks the most FNGs and Kotters and (ii) the Site Q of the AO that headlocks the most FNGs and Kotters, between 3/1/24 and 6/1/24 will receive a one-of-a-kind prize (trust me – Cold Cuts says it will be worth it)
9. Q: Who is paying for the beers?
A: FNG / Kotter challenge is being funded by a slush fund of anonymous donors. There will be someone in charge of redeeming tokens at every TTT, if I’m not there. If we run out of funds, it means the challenge is working.
