Goodbye (for now) Fletch

The BackBlast:

In honor of YHC heading to Chicago for the summer (hit ya boy up if you venture to the beautiful Second City), I had the Q at PunchBowl. Good group of guys came out despite of the poor Q choice and the ugly clouds. We met Cheesestick who was headlocked by Evil Scout (who was suspiciously absent). Black Mamba was not there despite what can only be described as a promise “to be there for your last Q.” Tough scenes.

Workout:
1. Mosey to stone wall. Dips, derkins
2. Mosey to ‘mushrooms’ by the Silos. Incline merkins, abs, and such
F3. Mosey down the road to the next intersection
4. “Moving jack webbs” –> escalating merkins and air presses at each tree.
5. Switched jack webb combos (LBCs, mountain climbers, etc.)
6. Found a wall. Did some exercises (Ali, LaLanes, ATCs, etc.)
7. Mosey to hidden blocks. Took the blocks to the sketchy sideroad and did block work (curls, triceps, rows, Hoopties, etc.)
8. Mosey to Suffolk Punch entrance. More abs (Pigskin LBCs, Freddy Mercury, etc.)
9. Back to the Rail Trail for some crowd favorites: Monkey Humpers, Pickle Pounders, and Dollys / Rosalitas. Yes, we got some weird comments and even weirder stares. I think Scrooge is now on a watch list, but it’s hard to tell. Beethoven didn’t do these do to a “shoulder injury” but YHC isn’t clear on how that would impact Monkey Humpers….
10. Ended with some burpees or something. TBH, YHC was tired at this point.

F2: Most PAX stayed for a brew or two (and Scrooge got some fish tacos). Topics discussed: community involvement, potential upcoming fundraiser (ask Scrooge), and podcasts. Beethoven gave a nice toast, and Gepetto attempted to derail the nice moment with the absolute joke of the night. You had to be there.

Announcements:
1. Named Cheesestick due to him being from Philly and some story about Scrooge at a Middle Eastern eatery. I don’t know. It all happened fast and YHC was wanting a beer so we went with it.
2. PunchBowl is a great AO. If you haven’t been, show up and find out. The summer makes it tough, and that’s how we like it.
3. See you boys in September. Excited to get with the F3 Chicago crew.
