The BackBlast:
The J Geils Band is probably the greatest rock and roll band to not be in the rock and roll hall of fame. This just shows you how unfair life is. Peter wolf and Magic Dick truly had the most amazing sound and the best live performances. And yet just like Grapevine will not be recognized for his contribution to the world of stretching, Sunshine is not given the accolades his superstar lettuce deserves, and Foghorn for freeing himself of the bondage of Amish life, the J Geils band is not known for the best bar music ever. We started the beatdown today with The Standard, and with Peter Wolfe belting out ” It’s Good to Be Back Home!!” at the beginning of Southside Shuffle. ALS is my home, and it was good to be back.
After the standard we did the long 11’s. Side lunge at the bottom, in boards on the way up, mike tysons at the top, and outboards on the way down.
After the horror of that, we went over to the Selwyn upper lot for partner work–100 merkins, 200 squats, 300 LBC’s. Then 10 quick burpees and 5 minutes of Mary before we were out of time.
NMM: Great crowd. I had not met FNG longhorn before–he’s my kinda guy. And Money was being…..we…Money. Grapevine and Charcoal bitched about this being too hard for a Rev Flo workout–you bitches better shape up.

Playlist included Andre Golds “Lonely Boy” which was a pivotal moment in my F3 journey. It was one of my early ALS beatdowns when I rolled in blaring this tune and asking if anyone knew who it was by. Raid immediately responded ” Tahts by Andrew Gold. He had a solo career, and he played bass for Linda Ronstadt.
I knew I had found a home.
