The Medicare Birthday Q!
The BackBlast:
Intro: Birthday Q for Hallpass. Hallpass turned the corner at Core Meltdown and officially entered the over 65 group that you young guys are supporting. Your Social Security donations are greatly appreciated.
The Thang: In typical Core fashion we warmed up with a mix of SSH and Sharon Towers, where we will all be in a few years, and then headed out into the gloom. First stop were the bars (no, not those bars) where we did some inboards, outboards and elevated situps #crowdpleasers. Despite the grumbling we hit the path for an extended run to Hippie Hill for a bear crawl/merkin combo up the six ledges with a backwards run back down. The winter has not been good to Hippie Hill as it was quite muddy. #characterbuider The Q and some of the other Core guys have been in training for the Cooper River Bridge Run so naturally a spin up The Lurker was in order with stops at every light for Jumpsquats. The Lurker was a symbolic obstacle for turning 65. Climb and conquer it and move on like you are 30 and don’t look back. The pax all conquered it in fine order. Lastly back at the ranch we finished up with a mix of kettle bell and core exercises that brought the festivities to a close with the exception of the after party of cupcakes and energy drinks that we all shared. 65 years on the earth is a long time but I look forward to the years ahead and spending more time with family and friends and less time in my role as a self-made capitalist. The events of the recent days weigh heavy on everyone and I thank F3 for giving me the chance to have an place to strengthen myself physically and spiritually so that I can help shine Christ’s light on a world that needs Him badly. Remember as we go forward into the darkness that is all around us that Perfect love casts out fear. Let’s show that love to others and not let fear win. Thank you, Blue Tornado, for giving me the keys. You are the best.
