They won’t shut up until you start running

The BackBlast:

What do you do when you are the Q at Promo the week of a big race where you run some nasty hills when you normally find a steep, long hill to run up and down a couple of times until time is called.  You find as flat a route as you can, call a bunch of merkins, and keep your head on straight.  Hindsight, monkey humpers only added to the mumble chatter fire.

EC: Foreclosure, Rhap, KC, Swing, and Black Bear joined for a mile-ish mosey around the hood.  Stopping a couple of times for 10 merkins, 10 monkey humpers, and 10 plank jacks.  Running back to the lot, decent crowd.

Main Event:

• Hot lap around the school.  Quick COP.
• Head down Water Oak doing 7s at each street light.  Added in 20 plank jacks at the speed bumps.  Wait for the 6, keep moving.
• Head up to Sonic building.  Quick mary.
• Crossed Randolph to do some shopping.  Stop at every storefront 10 merkins.
• Quick Mary, head back alternating between monkey humpers and jump squats.
• Mosey across the street to Cotswold Elementary for another round of 7s with dips and pull-ups.
• Head out to Linda.  Hit every pole and alternate between 10 merkins and 10 squats.
• Plank and nice safe “don’t pull anything” jailbreak to the end.

NMM:  Fun crew.  Immediately TD asks where we are going, had to take care of something.  The KC blue throne is working overtime today.   TD apparently didn’t accomplish his mission, because when we got to Sonic Dredd suggested he leave his steaming pile on the hood of the CEO’s truck.   Gotta stay focused or your plan can be derailed by one comment about pulling an upper decker on the CEO of the company of the one skyscraper in C-Rock.  He wasn’t wrong to suggest it, just not something you expect to hear at 5:43 in the morning.  Blue was hanging out by himself in the alley next to Publix doing something (dips… we think).  Dredd had a hard time differentiating between storefront and door, not realizing they could be one in the same.  The monkey humpers were a hit with the 6am Yoga class.  At one point, Stinger informed me that KC and Tango Delta wouldn’t shut up until we started running again.  So we did. Promised no hills and accomplished that.  Mostly.
