Headline

YHC came in to lead tired from a evening of no power over in the Sedgefield part of town. Sleeping in 78 degree temps is a good reminder of what a change in few degrees can mean for your comfort… or lack there of it. There is something symbolic about that and why the men of F3 choose the DRP and what gives us an edge to be better each and every day…insert your own take on that…

The Thang

With 9 men present, including the nan’tan’s FNG, we were off from the gravel lot through freedom park.  Stopping briefly for a COP to welcome the FNG.

Recover and we’re off…. oh wait… FNG took spill as we cross the muddy lot of freedom park.   I mean, I can’t make it up that only guy to spill is the nan’tan’s FNG  – hows he going to react?  Well… ok not a big deal  we now have a working name for him  – let’s go mudder.

We split through the park,  hitting some steps, stopping for some exercises (because HE was out in front smoking people) and running past the baseball field.

I had a plan, really.  We headed down willow oak to St. Anne’s.  On paper it was a 2 mile trip.  GPS says otherwise.

We hit St Anne’s for a COP, including bear crawls, CCD, and more.  Prior to leaving out of no where Taf showed up with a montley  crew looking bunch.  They said they ran 10+ miles to get there.  That’s an adjusted number that’s accretive per stogie.  Taf led some exercises and then we had to split  being 2 miles out and 15 minutes to get home.

***we’re going to miss breakfast***

We move it back up Willow Oak, which is hilly, dropping the 6 but waiting for them by hitting some exercises.

There may have been some merlot spilled on the way home – pretty sure there was but I’m  not calling anyone out, especially an FNG.

We get back to COT, 5 minutes over, but with everyone.

NMM

  • Half the pax rode or ran into the AO. Bunch of fit over achieving HIM.
  • Nan’tan brining out an FNG, very cool.  Even if it’s  his daughter BF. Good way to lay down the law and let him know the super power that he has.
  • Potentially running down to St. Ann’s is a first for Bandit. Confirmed from the new site Q.
  • Fake News and Hairball live a stone thrown from one another down willow oak somewhere. Neither of them offered us coffee as we passed their crib. What’s up with that?

Announcements

  • F3 Dads Saturday morning at 0900 at Freedom Park by the train- be there
  • Grizzley is Q for MIP Saturday at 0900
  • Freed To Bleed – check it out on twitter and donate!

Sheep – Thanks for the keys  always honored to lead the HIM of Metro.

WhatDid out!

  1. Nice work. I believe the Bandit record from years ago is making it all the way to Park Rd. Montessori field (just beyond St. Ann’s across Hillside). The old spot where we’d run figure 8 up the grass hill, etc., and back down with exercises. I think the loops were called “Q Dogs” but not 100%.
