The BackBlast:
After a couple of weeks of great leads by Qs who took the pax offsite, 10 not so slow runners got SIBling Rivalry back on track. YHC planned out how to Q from the back without completing getting dropped (can a Q drop themself?). As Deertick mentioned afterwards “remmber when SIBling Rivalry was 9 to 10 minute miles”. I think an 8 minute mile pace was at the high end of what the pax were running today. Is anyone interested in creating a “STEP SIBling Rivalry” running workout that will be for those who want to mosey a couple of miles, or is that too close to simply rucking? Anywho! it was nice to have 10 today – and anymore and it would have been crowded on the track with the other random people who thought they could be there with us.
Very simply here’s what we did:
Warm up as you wish, but once the group was together we took a warmup lap.
Instructions were to run every lap around the same pace, and here’s how the laps were laid out:
1 lap followed by 30 second rest once last runner finished
2 laps followed by 30 second rest once last runner finished
3 laps followed by 60 second rest once last runner finished
4 laps followed by 60 second rest once last runner finished
3 laps followed by 60 second rest once last runner finished
2 laps followed by 30 second rest once last runner finished
1 lap followed by
Cool down lap
We moseyed off the track for COT
Fast and becoming fast pax this morning.
