The BackBlast:
There are those that would say me writing a back blast is like Tom Brady unretiring. Or the Eagles doing another tour. Or maybe even Henry Kissinger running for office. However you might call it just don’t call it a comeback.
We started off the same way all work outs started off before I gave up doing back blasts for religious reasons. We did the standard. Then we mozied to the side of AG where I already strategically placed a box of sidewalk chalk. Each pax took turns seeing how many things they could be thankful for and write on the sidewalk in a 25 second time. If you wrote 10 items no burpees were done. For every number you are less than 10 on your list of things you were thankful for the Pax did a burpee. Whatever pax was writing also called out the exercise we’d all be doing. I must say everybody followed the rules except for my sharona.
Which truly surprised me cuz I expect My Sharona to be the one who likes to get involved in group think activity. You may not know this but he led several Cults in eastern Oregon before deciding to go and finish his college degree at the University of California St Louis Nabisco. And like most cult leaders Sharona has got a different way of seeing the world. So Sharona did nothing on his thankful this list which means we all had to do 10 burpees.
I don’t know for sure how many burpees we did but I would anticipate with 18 people there and an average of two burpees per person we did a total of 36. Plus Sharonas 10 because he’s a giant pain in the butt. We then did pain stations and then wrapped it up by doing the foundations training back stretch.
