First Q – 20 count Abs and a Cross

The BackBlast:

Headed down Carmel 5 mins, then back toward home. Diverted down Colony 5 mins, then back toward home. Headed down Colony the other way 5 mins (pretty sure PAX thought I was lost), then back toward home. Ran past home and circled back through the parking lot. Plenty of stops along the way for torturing the abs (exclusively… pool season is coming). Some dollies, freddies, LBCs, Heels to Heaven, Rosalitas, American Hammers, etc… Ran out of names for ab exercises and had to ask around. PAX were able to oblige with some good ones. We especially suffered with a slow 20 count J-Lo so we did that more than once.
Finished with a longish 3″ leg lift and some lunge-walking back home.

This all resulted in a Strava map that looks like a cross in refence to Sunday’s homily: recognizing Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross this holy week by making a cross wherever you are. We were at F3 this morning. We made a cross.

Reflections on my first Q: Hard to remember the order of callouts when I’m tired. Plan of running the Cross made sense. It worked. Exclusive Ab workout didn’t work so well. Best to mix things up. Might have gotten too far ahead during one of our longer run segments. I should have read the Q 101 page online first. Helpful info. Next time will be better.
