Hard to Cheat when Standard of writing BB not maintained

9 men decided to kick 2020 in the arse at least one last time and posted at Governator.   YHC has not Q’d in Metro in over a year so most of the faces were new to me.    I always try to remember PAX by name but my age and lack of practice seem to have gotten the better of me this am as I came up two short when I made list of PAX.

I would normally “cheat” and review past BB’s to refresh my memory but alas there have been only 3 BB’s for Governator in the last few months.    While not a core principle, I think writing a BB is a Standard we should meet if we agree to Q.   Slacking off is a slippery slope and thus maintaining standards is important.

The Thang

After disclaimer, mosey down to middle school with a stop for 10 merkins at each speed bump.   Brief warm up in parking lot with SSH, Mountain Climbers, Wide Arms, and Stagger R and L.

Partner up and head over to grab a lifting rock on way to lacrosse field.  Partner 1 runs across field and back while partner 2 does call exercise.     We did curls, push presses, lunges with the rock and skull crushers.

Head over to football field, dropping off rock on the way, for the main event – the devils workout of 6-6-6.   We did 6 sets of running the full length of the field and back stopping 6 times to perform 6 of called exercise.   We did merkins, squats, knee ups, mountain climbers, lunges, and, of course, burpees.

Mosey up to school for people chair and then over to ramp for bear crawls, lunges, and bear crawls.   Head over to benches in front for step ups, incline merkins, and decline merkins.  Rinse and repeat before heading back to launch point where we finished with a few minutes of mary.

Welcome back home to HRB (His Royal Badass – Birmingham is kind with names).  Film Festival may have the longest streak of WD in F3 Nation.  I have never been WD at Governator or DMZ since he is there every time.    Even with us two old guys and a low count of 9, I believe the average age was under 40.  Strong work by the youth of Metro.

After 9 months of working out with my neighbors off the books in Kingswood, it was great to get back to Governator.   The extra 30 minutes of sleep has been nice but I think even better to get done early.

Remember, 10 year anniversary workout Friday at AG at 7 (or maybe 6:50 since the original BB posted by OBT indicates they meet that first time at 6:50.
