The BackBlast:
Minor skirmish a few months back between the Hatfields (Governator pax) and McCoys (Kingswood pax – off the books), which appeared to be WWIII based on back-blast comments, needed to be rectified. So YHC (who is member of both) decided for a road trip down to Kingswood for a peace treaty. 13 other men decided to join me.
The Thang
Warm up with SSHx20, Mtn Climbers,x15, and Merkinsx10. Run down to cul-de sac outside gate down Carmel road for a few minutes of Mary and then keep going down to Kingswood (about 1 mile). We did backward bear crawl up Homeboys driveway (yes – we had permission from the owner – who was out in the street already) before joining Homeboy and my crew from Kingswood who were in the middle of a KB workout.
I let Homeboy take over for the combined PAX. We ran down to bottom of hill and then did 5 burpees at every mail box on the left and 10 squats at every mail box on the right (5 * 5 and 4 * 5 I think). Homeboy then led us in a few one minute exercises (after he got his daughters iPad to cooperate and stop playing Dora music) including sit ups, flutter kicks, and Boone LBC’s. After peace was restored (no thanks to the mumble chatter from A&H, Rock and Film Festival), the Governator pax headed out, taking Homeboys dog with us.
Ran back up to Mill Pond Road for a loop around Table Rock and Mill Pond Road with 10 merkins at each corner (evidently, Governator pax thinks we were running a Pentagon versus a square as we stopped five times for merkins – to be fair, the loop is really a series of curves and YHC said do Merkins at every curve).
Run back up Carmel road with stop at the brick wall for some wall sits and balls to the wall merkins before heading back to the church. Just enough time for two rounds of dips and incline merkins before heading back to launch site for finis.
NM
Good size group this am with mostly old school PAX. Gizzard trying to restore Governator to it’s former glory and well on his way. Now need to get the darn Q’s to write BB’s. Good mix of old (56 x 2) and new (a few hates).
A&H acted liked he doesn’t know the difference between a boat and a canoe but I think he just didn’t want to do the exercise. He uses mumble chatter a lot to get out of doing stuff I think. He also is confused about what a toboggan is (it’s both).
Appreciate Homeboy letting us crash his lead on Buckhurst and try to make amends. Last time Governator PAX visited Kingswood there were no joint exercises and it was a little awkward (chaos can do that to men). I did alert Home Boy to my plan so he was prepared although I don’t think he expected 14.

Ha – I didn’t realize Word Press would list names in alphabetical order (That is why I wrote “in random order” by his name). A&H was last when I wrote it but God is reminding us of his teaching – and the last shall be first.
