The BackBlast:
Intro:A post 4th of July week group of 15 pax gathered in the muggy gloom to do that thing called ALS. And here is how it went down..
The Thang: After a brief warmup we headed down the Selwyn back entrance doing a backwards run, lunge walk combo to Colony Road. At the entrance I set Pigskin lose to do the famed Pigskin Pullback which is an Indian Run with only one Indian, Pigskin. The Pig is the fastest guy over 65 that you will ever find so we gave him a three second headstart up Colony and then took off after him. Once he got to the first MPHS entrance he pulled back and picked up the pax on the way back. It was a great way to blow things out early and get everyone ready for the remainder of the beat down.
We then did merkins at every light going back up the entrance road and then 5’s of Monkey humpers and Plank jacks up the AG back entrance hill. From there we did some wall work and then a couple of rounds of a modified Grapevine Death Star around the AG outdoor bball court.
We finished up with some circuits, Mike Tysons and Jack Webbs and called it a morning
Naked Man Moleskin: It was a great group whose age range covered several decades. It is quite inspiring to see the comraderie that Core has developed over the years.
Remember to sign up for the F3 Blood Drive that is coming up on August 1. Details are on the website and in Twitterland.
Thanks go out to Pigskin for helping with the tunes and being the rabbit in the Pigskin Pullback. You are indeed an inspiration.
Aye,
