Kazoo vs. Bassoon

The BackBlast:

Intro:

I’m a simple man. Kinda like the Lynard Skynard song, I avoid the complex in pursuit of that which I can comprehend without great difficulty.  I encourage others to do likewise.  For that reason, I like Weinkes, and plans that can be followed.  While Hoe Down and DoReMi write symphonic melodies engaging brass and woodwind, I blow on my kazoo.  It’s just how I see the world.

And so, my plan for the Meltdown crew was laid out ahead of time in precise detail and yet easy to share.  So the moaning and groaning—oft referred to as mumble chatter—was kept to a minimum.

 

The Thang:

First the standard. Because it is the foundation of all good things.

 

Next, we tried to Indian run with our bells to hippie hill which kind of worked but kind of didn’t.  More on that later.

 

Upon arrival, we executed a prepared list of exercises, adding 1 rep on each level of the hill. Exercises were as follows:

2 handed press

Lawn mower

Maktar Jye

Hammer Curl

Triceps Extension

Stump Jumper

Swings

Sumo Squat

J-Lo

Thruster Row

Mosey back to the rails in numerical order by speed so that we all get there at the same time. Then compete 2 rounds of negatives—inboard, and outboard. This took us straight till 615.

Naked Man Moleskin:

:  So the only part that fell apart was the Indian run on the way there. It was a failed experiment. But, once the adjustment was made to a metered return, all was as it should be.

 

We had an FNG come because his wife made him. He’s from Chicago so we named him appropriately.  He did tell us he was bit in the ass by a copperhead, so he has a “AKA” of   “YOU’RE GONNA DIE.” But we struggled—I think we have lost some of our proficiency on nick names.

 

Van winkle showed up for c o t only. He’s a sidler.
