Olympic Flame

The BackBlast:

One would think that Sunday rain equals Monday cool gloom. One would be wrong… it was humid as hades out there and we kicked off the olympic-themed Qs with this one…

The Thang:
The shift section of the program was mostly 40-50yd sprint repeats over to the Barclay. Jesse Owens style. We hit a lil parking deck and made our way back thru Piedmont Row. We avoided being hit by 1 car on the roundabout and didnt get a ticket from the cop on our way to Legion Brewing. Thru the courtyard, back up Congress St… onto the lift. we did ~20min of kbell repeaters with some filler. We made sure to include Louganis’s, Iverson’s and AmericanHammers in there. Some others: RenegadeRows, cleans, curls, SurryCountys, french press, snatches, TPPs. Fin.

Moleskin:
The olympic theme came together around 0600 when Louganis showed up. Can’t think of many others to add… The new building structure by The Barclay was going up again after the fire. Not much wood on those structures, lotta concrete. Too soon? Weird scene over there with a cop talking to what looked like a construction worker. We didnt stick around to ask questions… Sausage’s child is now 3 weeks young!… music was heavily Ozzy/Sabbath. Metallica will return..
