Six men gathered at the base of the spiraling #MuthaShip. The luminous gloom filled our eyes and the skyline popped with vivid color. Our path was clear, straight up the corkscrew with sandbags on our shoulders and rucks on our backs. “Don’t stop ‘till you get to the top!”

Down a few floors and then back up the spiral. Throw in some more exercises and repeat the madness. Ruck on your chest, sandbag on shoulders for a few laps.

A quick descent as time slipped away. ”Don’t leave so soon.”, #theMutha whispered.

“The gloom calls us home, day is on the way, we will be back soon sweet #Mutha…”

Geppetto: this man is on fire! He’s building boats and kissing babies. Running with the young pups and hanging with the big dogs…the only way to live for Geppetto.

Nomad: dude is unstoppable. Double respect all the way to the top! Businessman by day, karate black belt by night. He owns a Bouvier and has a lovely wife. We call that #GoodLivin

Sausage: two kids under three years old and wife. Highly educated and tough as nails. Always ready for a beat-down and can deliver the goods when needed. YHC calls him our virtuous #superhero a.k.a. #babySlaughter.

Scrooge: this dude is classic early 80s all the way! He throws his money in the air and will tell joke or two. Pain is his favorite game and he likes to run with the young bucks. Most of the time he can keep up. Always winning in his own mind and that’s a great place to be when you’re Scrooge.

Cornbread: Brother from another mother ‘cause we go way back. Tough as nails and strong as an Ox. Swimming in the F3-Fountain o’ Youth. Looking younger every day and he’s just getting started.
