Start Small – Finish Fast

The BackBlast:

Intro:

All ready for lightning, and we didn’t get a drop of rain.  Back to plan A which involved markers, timing, and a whistle.

The Thang:

Warm up wrap
SSH x15

5 – 30 second intervals where each time you try to go farther interval, each time returning to the start line

5 – 1 minute intervals where each time you try to go farther than the previous interval, each time returning to the start line

3 – full laps, where each time you try to go farther then the previous interval with RedFoxx as our rabbit

Some stretching and we were done.  About 3.75 miles.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Good showing today.  Must have been that the Metro 1st F tour made a visit to SIBLingRivalry.  Good to have RedFoxx in the house.  Plus he played a key part in being the rabbit for the last set of intervals.  He had  close company on most intervals with Wake Up Call and Gridlock in the house too.  The goal was for everyone to push themselves, while also having faster guys to motivate you to push yourself.  Amphibious did not need to use amphibiousness because the track was completely dry.  Velvet kept up the pace with smooth velvet strides.  Deertick says he needed 2 laps to adjust his attitude, but I would have accepted him with just one.  Torpedo made the most of his track day, but he’s no doubt back on the wheels this week.  Plus, he is planning a 24hours of booty CSAUP – look for more on that if it takes off.
