The BackBlast:
Almost full moon, Halloween Eve, and 13 pax posted. Very spooky!
Deertick: “Who has the Q?”
Carrier: “I do.”
Deertick: “Voodoo?”
Carrier: “Probably!”
Let’s first start off by acting like a young immature bunch of trick or treaters by warming up in the middle of the road intersecting with a major road. Lesson: Look out tomorrow night for little ones trick or treating. SSH until the one car we saw all morning drove right through our COP. Really?! We’re exercising right here!
Grapevine stretch and instructions. That was pretty much the entire warm up, other than moseying from parking lot. The rest was:
Up Rutledge to Kingscross at every driveway on left (it will always be left) – increasing # of merkins
Down Rutledge to Providence at every driveway on left – increasing # of squats
Back pedal to Fielding
Up Fielding to Coach’s Street at every driveway on left – increasing # of heels to heaven
Down Fielding to Rutledge at every driveway on left – increasing # of monkey humpers
Back pedal to Gresham
Up Gresham to Kingscross at every driveway on left – increasing # of plank jacks
Down Gresham to Rutledge at every driveway on left – increasing # of lunges
Back pedal to Kingscross
Up Kingscross to Gresham at every driveway on left – increasing # of IW
Down Gresham to Rutledge at every driveway on left – increasing # of LBC
Back pedal to Providence
Mosey to start
Chatter:
Coach was there and exercised with us – maybe or maybe not at each driveway.
Some double downed – meaning they combined the exercises when driveway were close to each other. How that matters – who knows?!
Not sure doing exercises over and over again was appreciated by the pax. But concentrating on a muscle group has impact.
The call was for Friday fellowship, which this was designed to allow for, but in the end, anytime pax have to count, it minimizes mumblechatter.
Announcement:
Blood drive pretty much full, although after the workout I checked and see there are now 4 spots still open. (dropouts!)
Shoe drive is wrapping up, but if you still come up with lightly used athletic shoes, get them to Deertick or me.
