The Bird Returns To His Nest

Great showing of Pax today to represent that ManCave has survived Birdhole flying south to become Nantan of The Burg region, as in St. Petersburg, FL. GAAP who headlocked Birdhole, posted to welcome him back for his visit which happens to be the Bird’s 10 year anniversary with F3. Birdhole might have also noticed that some things don’t change in Metro, as GAAP rolled in late as usual. We still appreciate Birdhole leaving us with his infamous “running with scissors and Birdsclator”.

Even with 1 less hour of sleep last night, the pax were ready to get at it, so Bomber obliged by throwing a great mix of warm up exercises at the pax to get the blood flowing, and just to make sure our legs were ready, he topped off the COP with high knees and dose of 5 burpees (it made RockChalk happy).

After COP, we moseyed to the Money lot, where we picked up some bricks and broke up into teams of 3 (or 4 in a couple of cases) for Grinders. I won’t bore you withe details of what we did, but it involved exercises with bricks, running with bricks, and general pain.

After the grinders we moseyed back to the (virtual) shovel flag. Speaking of shovel flag, YHC saw Guitar Hero this afternoon before the workout, and he says he will be making his Mancave return next week. Maybe he can bring the ManCave shovel flag.

On the way back to the start, we stopped for a few people’s chair exercises.

Back at the start we left Money with less than 3 minutes of his dreaded Abs of Steel. The only complaint came from Money, since his contract to co-Q called for him to have 6 minutes of Mary. I told him he would still get the same pay in his check that was included in his contract.

Good to see Windchill back at ManCave and have in YHC’s grinder team with Hollywood and Southbeach.

YHC is looking forward to more virgin ManCave Q’s on upcoming Sundays from Grill, Chippendale, Trader, and Cochran. Just grab someone and throw together a co-Q where you will only have to come up with a portion of the 45 minutes.

Hollywood reminded us that we are truly blessed to have running water, heat and electricity in our homes, cars to drive to workouts, good health and food readily available. Pray for the Ukrainians and Russians that stand for peace.

We missed Mancave regulars Fugitive, Litebrite, Pesci, and ChocolateBox. We keep at this Mancave thing and we might have to blow it up (that’s a good thing) if our numbers get too big – let’s do it? Headlock some guys – both kotters and FNGs! It’s good medicine.
