We All Voted…

The BackBlast:

…to keep Coach on the Island, though we didn’t wait around to hear arguments for or against because we had work to do!  It’s Election Day.  So in the Spirit of Democracy, I allowed the Pax to vote on a few workouts.

The Warmup:

Mosey to Office Park before Robin rd

• SSH X 20 IC
• Squats X 15 IC
• Imperial Walkers X 20 IC
• Squat Straddle Hops X 20 IC

Mosey to the bottom of Robbin

• March to Providence stoping at each “stop light”… “what kind of light?”  You know… Just do 10 Freddy’s at Each light!

Collect the pax with some plank-o-rama then Mosey up Providence to the dark entrance to Trinity Pres.  “Watch your Step!”

• We almost made it through the alley without incident but then Nifong #TerryTate bit the dust on the last hump.
• After the pax made sure he was ok, I made sure he knew it was Karma for Terry Tating me during a recent workout

Circle up at the AO and Plank-o-Rama wait for the six (every vote counts”

• Mountain Climbers X 20 IC
• “Should we vote Coach off the Island?”
• Vote:  20 Burpees or 20 Merkins – it was 18 to 2 in favor of merkins –
  • someone demanded a recount
  • Newport said there was voter Fraud
  • and the mumble chatter ensued

Mosey to Rutledge for a 100 Merkin March –

• Stop at each light on the way to Randolph for 10 merkins
• LBC X 20 IC at the corner to Randolph and Rutledge
• Six is in

Mosey to the Providence Baptist Track n Field

• Partner Chase
  • Partner 1 Burpee Broad jumps across the field
  • Partner 2 30 Squats then Bear Crawl to catch your partner
  • Flapjack all the way across the field
  • Grizz was complaining about his pequeños dedos! (“My hands are wet now!). Cold hands, warm heart Grizzles

Time for another Vote!

• Repeat on the way back or Lunge walk on the way back?  Unanimous for lunge walk
• The time keeper aka Coach says there no time, gotta go.

Mosey back down Montclair to corner of Robin hold elbows for the 6

Mosey to the hotbox for a Drive by – heard lots of mumble chatter – must have been Coach – saying no time for the box!

We warmed up quick.  It doesn’t take long with these men.  And it’s really not about the sweat (though we do a lot of it).  We always warmed by the strength of the fellowship and encouragement from this Pax.  In a decisive world, we come together with differing views and across the isle to stand together in solidarity as we fix our eyes on not on earthly things but on things above where Christ is seated on the throne.
