We will miss you D.T.

The BackBlast:

This afternoon as I was sitting down to write this backblast I received the text that our brother Double Trouble had passed away. Rather than chronicle the details of another awesome Core Meltdown workout I will use this space to honor our brother, DT. I met DT several years ago at and immediately found him to be an engaging and fun guy to be around. I spent many a coffeeteria listening with interest to his stories of travel, sports and all things Charlotte. DT was a friend to all and someone who obviously loved people and who was a great husband and dad. His passing has hit me hard because of my recent bout with covid. I have to wonder why God chose to take DT home while covid left me with minimal effects. I also struggle with the fear that somehow I might have indirectly infected him during that period when I was not aware that I had covid. These are questions that have no answer and wrestling with these questions does not bring DT back. I choose to accept that God has a plan for all of us and that somehow includes taking someone as full of life and adventure as DT from us at the prime of his life. I challenge myself and all who read this to honor DT by living life out loud and being the friend to others that Steven was to all of us. Double Trouble you will be missed. I look forward to all the cool stories you will have to tell us when we reunite together at the ultimate AO.
