What is this green stuff under my feet?

Rhapsody was clearly scrambling yesterday when I got a text at 8:04am asking if I’d be interesting in Q’ing at Promo.  Fond, distant memories of posting at Promo, so I accepted.  Drove around the ‘hood yesterday, and freaked out some ladies walking as I passed them 4 or 5 times #creepy.  The test drive didn’t help, still had no idea where I was going this morning, and that was evident to all.  Dredd was too busy talking about Strom Thurmond, Sanjay Gupta and Nikki Haley to direct any criticism YHC’s way.

After the 8’ish pax that posted for pre-work joined us…YHC noticed a funny thing.  The pax started circling up.   Nope.  We’re not starting with COP in the launch lot.  That was the first pattern interrupt delivered to the pax.  Actually started with a disclaimer.  That surprised the pax.  Told these Metro men while I was concerned for their safety – cars, Covid, Dredd’s challenges, etc. – I was not responsible for it.  At your own risk.

So…here’s some Thang & Moleskinny all jumbled together:

Lap around the track.  Stinger was chatting me up and already looked like he’d run a 10K. #hyperhidrosis.  Then circle up for COP on the pitch…The bellyaching really started with the h-r merkins and then with the flutters.  #cobains

Then off for some road work down Water Oak to Linda to Walker and back to Linda.  Did some CDD’s, jump squats, plank work with shoulder taps.  Apparently Walker is a pretty busy thoroughfare, so we had to scramble a few times.  The pax grumbled when call to plank was given on the sidewalk at Walker & Sharon Amity.  Not sure if it was fear of Covid (social closeness) or fear of getting hands wet in the grass?

Did some other plank work, h-r widearms, Mary etc. as we came back down Water Oak.

Back to the track, grab the 20 pavers.  Lynchpin and Spooky shared a Covidless coupon.  Did some thrusters, Lougainis, flutter-press, etc. with some gassers in-between.

Back to the launch lot for 6 MoM including Makthar N’Djaiye’s, Slutters, American Hammer and finished off with 13 burpees.

Why 13 you ask?  Dredd did ask as did Chicken.  13 is YHC’s favorite number.  3 reasons: 1) my mom’s birthday was the 13th of April.  2) I always liked 13 as I think the silly superstition with airlines, hotels, etc. with 13 was ridiculous.  And the 3)rd reason is that the namesake of my faith had 12 men he chose to follow him.  He taught them, they observed.  He corrected them.  They listened.  They went and told others about him.  And there were actually 13 of them including the leader.  That Q’s name is Jesus of Nazareth.   Do you know him?  Who would you say that he is?  IMHO, there is no more important question that every person will ultimately answer.  He even asked his 12 closest followers: “Who do you say that I am?” Well…who is this man?
