The best leaders understand how to use absence as motivation. Ten reliable men showed up to get better to on a Tardy-less crisp October morning.

The Thang:

– Quick warmup with SSH.
– Mosey across Providence for 100 (and change) Merkin March up Colville.
– Pause to grab wall for 20 dips then head north on Randolph.
– Stop for 20 derkins at Colonial then on to Midtown Medical garage.
– Partner up for catch me if you can with P1 backwards up the ramps and P2 10 lunge jumps, alternating.
– Round of mary on top level—LBC, flutter, Ukrainian twist, plank jacks, 20 each in cadence.
– Back down via stairwell then south on Providence to Shell station.
– Round of 20 squats then onto Cherokee.
– Quick stop at Eastover Elementary court for bear crawl and broad jumps.
– Continue down Cherokee with jump squats at each street light.
– Back to launch with not-so-subtle time wasting crab walk, bear crawl, and shoulder taps to close.

Naked Man Moleskin:

– Site Q elect Big Rig responsible for 500% increase in weekly attendance. Will see if he can maintain growth rate or pursues a low expectations strategy.
– Sample of Strava posts ranged from 3.6 to 4.5 mi. Somebody needs a new watch.
– Minor Pax collision on backwards segment. Let’s hope all are healthy and the disclaimer doesn’t end up in dispute. Unclear whether any parties have retained counsel.
– Somehow the trip down the garage presented more danger than trip up where said incident occurred. Needed to avoid surprised stairway inhabitant, invisible construction cables, and confusion about garage levels (Providence street level on B which is two below Randolph entrance on 1). Improved Q awareness since Worm outing on 9/24 (see “Turkey Trot”).
– Having missed Q school last week, YHC also working to incorporate prior feedback on mix of cadence/OYO. Feedback is a gift, how we get better, and the only word in English language containing letters a-b-c-d-e-f. Still tough counting when out of breath.
– No Tardy, no arm circles, no chasing 13.1.
– Turns out we have some Jupiter Coyote fans in the group.
